Feature Concept
YOUR CO-CAPTAIN ON THE SEAS
Between maintenance schedules, crew management, dock fees, and endless paperwork, yacht ownership requires assistants, teams and can be immensely costly on top of actual boat ownership.
We knew what we were building, but didn’t know enough about the industry.
With yacht owners being an incredibly exclusive demographic, traditional user research wasn't feasible. Instead, we dove deep into luxury lifestyle media, yacht shows, and owner testimonials to understand their world.
The Three Features
Through researching luxury marine technology, we identified three key opportunities where AI could revolutionize how yacht operations serve client needs.
Smoke & Mirrors
With limited demo time at shows, we balanced lean functionality with compelling features that would spark investor curiosity. The compressed timeline meant we couldn't overthink every detail. Instead, we relied on design intuition and quick decision-making to fill gaps in the product vision while keeping the core experience engaging and conversation worthy.
Within one month, we created an AI-integrated application to get investors excited about what more could be done.
The success of investor demos depended on creating a prototype that felt real. Every micro-interaction and transition needed to be perfect, from button states to loading animations. We obsessed over these details because we knew investors would form their opinions during those crucial moments of hands-on interaction. The difference between a concept and a convincing vision lived in the details.
